AGENDA

1.  2011 BIMP EAGA ICON
              Letter of invitation of Engr Vicente Lao , Chairman of Mindanao Business Council was read inviting DAVRASTI represented by Dr. Francisco P. de la Pena, President, to participate in the 2011 BIMP EAGA ICON at Pryce Plaza Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on October 17-19, 2011:
            a. Dr. Francisco de la Pena, Jr. submitted two projects
                      1. STANDARD AMERICAN ENGLISH
                      2. PRODUCTION OF HEALTHY FOOD
             b. The Standard American English was chosen by the organizers to be presented in the plenary while the Production of Healthy Food was included in the business development group      

                  b. Participants: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia     and  Philippines

2. TESDA UPDATES OF DIR URBANO BUDTAN
            a. Php 1 million scholarship fund for district ll. to be facilitated by the district officer of Congressman Lagdameo
             b. Schools intending to avail of the program are required to pledge commitment for employment of graduates  6 months after graduation
              c. Gender and Development Program still needs approval and shall be integrated in the curriculum . Guidance Councelors handling the program are required to train under TESDA

3. Dr. Francisco P. de la Pena, Jr. discussed the ACES NATURAL FARMING TECHNOLOGY COURSE
           a. 3- day course is offered at the Aces Natural Farming Institute at Php 3,000.00 training fee covering cost of meals and snacks, training kit and training materials. A discounted rate of Php 2,500.00 is offered for ATINDI members
           b.  The Aces Natural Farming Technology course is the only TESDA Registered program  on organic and natural farming. It is issued a Certificate of Program Registration under a No Training Regulation category as the Training Regulation on Natural Farming still needs to be developed. This makes the Aces Polytechnic College Natural Farming Institute the pioneer in this training technology. The Aces Natural Farming Technology Course is organically based and sustainable.

    The organic and sustainable agriculture has become the advocacy of the Alliance of Concerned Entrepreneurs for Food Security ACE-FS  and through its General Manager Mr Vianney Garol is advocating for the full utilization of the ACES Natural Farming Technology in all TVET institutes  in the country.

A short open forum followed the presentations.

1.  It was agreed that ATINDI members participate in the scheduled training on October 28 to 30, 2011 at ACES NATURAL FARMING INSTITUTE at Panabo City

2. Engr Camus presented the TESDA Anniversary Celebration and the need to support a project as part of its Social Corporate Responsibility. This involves the relocation of residents in the Gurinan coastal area an important project  of the City Government of Tagum.
     A resolution was approved authorizing the ATINDI treasurer to disburse funds in the amount of twelve thousand pesos (Php 12,000.00)  to be contributed to the TESDA anniversary fund as part of ATINDI’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program.

4. ELECTION OF OFFICERS:

        An Election committee composed of three (3) members were nominated and elected to facilitate the Election process.
